New £25 million cross-pavement EV charging initiative
Following yesterday’s announcement, we’re thrilled to see the UK Government’s new £25 million initiative aimed at making at-home EV charging more accessible for households without driveways..
Gul-e is supportive of any initiative that makes cross-pavement solutions more viable in general. By easing cost as a barrier to entry, Gul-e hopes that its superior safety features, combined with industrial design, will accelerate residents’ demand for electric vehicle ownership.
✅ Gul-e protects pedestrians from trailing cables and trip hazards with its lidless and flush-fitting gulley design.
✅ Gul-e enables households to access cheaper domestic electricity rates.
✅ Gul-e is scalable and simple for local authorities to deploy. It can also potentially become an income generator.
“With Gul-e, we’re enabling local authorities to make EV charging accessible to all residents – not just those with driveways. This is about making the shift to electric vehicles fairer, safer, and more practical for everyday people.” – Jason Munro, Director of Infrastructure and FM, ODS.
